About Scopitone Films

Scopitone Films is a Boutique Film and Commercial Service Production House based in Vancouver BC.
We come from a strong background in narrative and visual storytelling to produce a variety of projects, from music videos and commercials to working directly with agencies to highlight a client or brand.
Our focus is on original, artistic and compelling storytelling that is visually striking and engaging.

Collin Morrison

Collin Morrison

Producer, Cinematographer

From mountainside commercials to studio music videos, Collin finds himself at home anywhere behind a camera. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a BFA in Film Production Collin shot and directed commercials for Kaldor Design who’s clients included The University of Toronto and The Canadian Cancer Foundation among others. Following his time with Kaldor Collin co-founded Scopitone films with collaborators from the successful short film “She’s a Soul Man” which he had shot and “Lost and Found” which he produced. With Scopitone Collin has directed commercials for “Go2” a Worksafe BC affiliate and the Wickaninnish Inn located in Tofino BC. Along with directing Collin been the cinematographer on videos for Vancouver bands Jasper Sloan Yip, No Sinner, BESTiE, Ruffled Feathers and Chin Injeti.

Elad Tzadok

Elad Tzadok

Producer, Director, Editor

Born and raised in Israel, and with a background in graphic design and marketing, Elad moved to Vancouver to pursue an education and career in Film. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BFA in Film Production and has since produced, directed and edited multiple short films, music videos and commercials. Some of his recent work includes editing the 2013 Crazy 8’s winning short film Brain Damage. Producing Croft, an action packed short film that won Best Action Film at the Atlanta Action Film Festival and Best in the Fest at the Damn Short Film Fest. He Produced and edited Lead and Follow which won the Telus Storyhive pitch competition as well as Letters from a Stone Cold Killer. As a director, Elad shot Lost and Found and is is currently in preproduction for Run a short psychodrama set in the world of triathlon. He has produced and edited music videos for Mackenzie Porter, Tebey, JPNSGRLS, No Sinner, Pat Lok and Jasper Sloan-Yip. He is currently editing Larry Kent’s Feature film She Who Must Burn.

It was Caitlin’s vivid imagination as a shy, only child that led her to her love of the power and escapism of cinema. She went on to study film production at U.B.C where she wrote and directed two shorts, Visiting Hours and She’s A Soul Man that screened in festivals in New York, Montreal, Vancouver and Washington D.C. After graduation, Caitlin continued to direct but also fell in love with production design -the art of telling stories with things and spaces. She has designed numerous music videos, commercials and shorts. Recent projects include designing a commercial for Ferrero Rocher and the feature film Preggoland directed by festival favourite Jacob Tierney which premiered at VIFF. Currently, Caitlin in in preproduction to design Kevan Funk’s debut feature Hello Destroyer and working on her own scripts.

Stirling Bancroft

Born In Vancouver, Stirling is a working Director of Photography who specializes in music videos, commercials and narrative film. He is an experienced camera operator who often finds himself working underwater, hanging off the sides of buildings and cliffs, and riding backwards on snowmobiles. Stirling’s many films have screened internationally and won various awards. Some of his recent work includes commercial spots for Lifetime, Mackenzie Porter’s I Wish I’d Known, Never Gonna Let You and If You Asked Me To music videos as well as Tebey’s Let it Down music video, the Leo award winning short film Little Big Kid, Croft, an action packed short film that won Best Action Film at the Atlanta Action Film Festival and Best in the Fest award at the Dam Short Film Fest, the MPPIA winning short film True Love Waits, and the upcoming feature films XBus and She Who Must Burn.

David Tenniswood

Director

David grew up between Ottawa, New York, and the Bourbon belt of Indiana until he moved to Vancouver to pursue a career in filmmaking. His work as a camera operator has kept him at the heart of the action on set and quickly led to work on high-budget features, music videos and commercials giving him access to incredible talent both on and off camera from whom he is constantly collaborating and learning. As a director for Scopitone Films a Vancouver based production-company he writes, directs and produces a wide variety of content ranging from music videos, short film and commercials. He was nominated for “Director of the Year” for the 2014 BC Country Music Association.
